1/18. Kylie Jenner\’s big reveal
The Kardashian-Jenner clan welcomed Kylie’s baby Stormi on February 1st 2018 and she made the big reveal on February 4th 2018 taking all her fans by surprise. Her big reveal was accompanied by a heart-warming message to her fans on social media as well as a short documentary of her pregnancy journey. However, I must commend them for successfully keeping the celebrity moments of her pregnancy a secret. This is because, it’s almost impossible to have a private life as a celebrity.
2/18. Kevin Hart’s big step down
Kevin Hart tweeted his step down as Oscar 2018 host accompanied by an apology. Surprisingly, once you get to the peak of your career, the mistakes from your past come back to haunt you. Following his invitation to host, lots of fans started digging up old homophobic tweets of Kevin. More so, we’re told that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences demanded Kevin apologize for his homophobic comments or have his host duty revoked. However, Kevin chose to do both – he stepped down and rendered a full apology.
3/18. Justin Bieber joined the married clan
Justin really gave us one of the best celebrity moments of 2018. For a second, we all thought that he was swinging towards Selena Gomez for life. However, he took us all by surprise when he got engaged to Hailey Baldwin during the summer following his March breakup to Selena. After which they secretly got married in November. Let\’s all hope their marriage lasts way longer than their dating period and that it moves as fast till they realize they\’ve grown old together.
4/18. Roseanne Barr’s big mistake
Speaking of bad tweets, it seems 2018 has lot of regrettable tweets’ celebrity moments. Who knew a tweet could cost you your job? Barr had made a racist statement on twitter about Valerie Jarrett; former senior adviser to President Barack Obama. Because of this, ABC cancelled Barr’s ‘Roseanne’ show stating that her tweet was inconsistent with their values. Sometimes, apologies still won’t cut it.
5/18. Baby Daddy Drake
Some dads immediately take pride while some others need an eye opener. This was the case with Drake. He’s been hiding his son Adonis until Pusha T confirmed it to the world in his diss track “The Story of Adidon”. Consequently, Drake released a complete album confirming those claims and revealing the story of how he came to be a baby daddy. Since then, he’s been creating several baby celebrity moments – gushing with love for his son publicly.
6/18. Ariana Grande almost got married
Not every relationship that moves fast will have a happy ending especially if you’re on a rebound. Ariana had quit with Mac Miller in May and started a rebound relationship with Pete Davidson the same month. More so, a few weeks following, they got engaged and within five months, called it quits. However, you shouldn’t pity Ariana, she’s doing better than you know. Although they’ll both have to get rid of their matching tattoos – what a waste!

Nick Jonas And Priyanka Chopra tied the knot December 1 and 2, 2018. More so, the pictures from their wedding is so beautiful that the couple has set a new tone for ‘couple goals’. They couple had started dating in May of 2018 and got engaged by the end of July 2018. Well, like Nick said “when you know, you know”. It seems like 2018 was full of many celebrity moments of love – what year isn’t?
8/18. Logan Paul’s apologetic donation
Apologies are so much sweeter when backed with some monetary compensation to restitute for foolish actions. Logan had made a Vlog about a man who committed suicide in Japan’s suicide forest. However, his fans and many others were not too happy with this unlike his other celebrity moments. Therefore, the said vlog received some backlash and he was also accused of being very insensitive. Well, people make mistakes. More importantly is admitting and restituting. Logan tendered a public apology accompanied by a $1M donation to suicide prevention organisations.
9/18. Heather Locklear’s multiple court visits
From felony domestic violence to battery against officers of the law, Heather really had her hands full in 2018. Although her daughter claims that most of these media outrage against her mother are widely exaggerated and aimed at destroying her family. More so, she pleaded not guilty for all count charges against her. However, she must be struggling with something mentally related as she has made several rehab and emergency room visits.
10/18. The Markle Feud
We all witnessed the numerous celebrity moments of Meghan Markle becoming an English royal Princess. However, her sister Samantha may not be so happy. Some may even call it jealousy. More so, Samantha keeps going back and forth from slamming to apology and back to slamming. I suppose any publicity is good for business – bad or good. Thankfully, Samantha has become popular through this and even gotten her book some publicity.
11/18. Demi Lovato’s survival
After an apparent drug overdose, Demi was hospitalised for months in order to fully recover. Thankfully, she survived this horror. More so, she has checked into a rehabilitation facility and is taking active steps to turn her life around. She is also over 90 days sober.
12/18. Kate Spade’s tragic incident
Kate allegedly committed suicide in her own home. It’s hard to imagine how celebrities can be so unhappy. This may be because the press never let them have any space to process their lives. More so, much like this article, even when celebrities cough, it becomes celebrity moments. Unfortunately, this had to happen to a respected fashion icon. However, her husband quieted the media storm by explaining that Kate had been suffering from depression and anxiety for a long time.
