5 Movies To Definitely Watch At Christmas Time

It\’s that time of the year again, Christmas! And with it comes the inevitable movies aired on the national televisions. Everyone knows these movies, everyone have seen them tons of times, but I challenge you to watch them again, as it will bring back the good old memories. I know that there are much more than 5, but I will list the 5 that stand closest to my heart. So let\’s get ready for my top 5 movies to watch at Christmas time.

5/5 Love actually

Okay this one might not be that manly, but I do not recommend all these movies because I like them so much. I recommend this one, because I am sure that there are people in your family who “actually love” this movie. Let\’s watch it for the sake of their joy. By the way this is one of the movies where Liam Neeson is killing everyone.

4/5 The Holiday

Just like the previous one, this is a piece that I just got used to. 2 girls who are having problems with finding the right guy decide to swap homes. Magic happens, and in each other\’s culture and country they find true love. It\’s a kind movie and a perfect choice to watch with your girlfriend at Christmas time.

3/5 Home Alone

Oh no, where is Kevin?!? The 8 year old Kevin McCallister is accidentally left home alone and hell breaks loose. Great story, great acting by Macaulay Culkin, and surely a lot of great memories for all of us.

2/5 Last Action Hero

Yes, this movie is taking place at Christmas time. Jack Slater, the superhuman cop played by Arnold Schwarzenegger conquers 2 worlds at once and defeats his enemies. Who don\’t want to see Arnold kicking butts and popping bad jokes, right? I must have seen it around 5 times Christmas time. This film is also a great choice to watch with kids as the whole story is presented from the perspective of the other main character, a young boy, Danny Madigen.

1/5 Die Hard

Of course, Die Hard, I think I am not the only one who rates this the number 1 movie that MUST be watched around Christmas time. Send the kids to sleep and let the fun begin. Can you truly enjoy Christmas time without seeing Hans Gruber fall from the Nakatomi Plaza? I don\’t think so. An additional fun fact is that if you start watching Die Hard at 21:58:13 at New Year\’s eve, that is exactly what you will see at midnight.
